Bio
Who better to lead courageous dialogues and help build and inspire resilient teams than Charmaine
Hammond? Beginning her career as a Correctional Officer in adult and young offender facilities she
pursued her passion for conflict management, obtaining a Masters Degree in Conflict Analysis &
Management and was a Chartered Mediator for 10 years. She has managed several non-profit
organizations, andspearheaded the development of three others.
As a Manager and Leader, she pursued her passion for leadership and has been a business owner for
the past 12 years; Charmaine has a solid background in leading courageous dialogue and helping
teams bounce forward through change, conflict, challenge and adversity. A champion of community
development, she has worked and volunteered in many partnerships and collaborations, this approach
is so important to Charmaine that she facilitates learning events and consults on this topic. She has
been a successful business owner since 1997, owning two businesses in Fort McMurray, Alberta prior
to relocating the business to Edmonton, Alberta.
In fact, solving problems and building solutions, communicating for success and strengthening
relationships are the foundations of Charmaine's business. Professional Speaker, facilitator, and

Unique Qualities:
Charmaine Hammond has a Master’s Degree in Conflict Management and Analysis; a BA in Social
Development Studies and a diploma is general social work, and is a Registered Social Worker. She is
an international speaker and has spoken in five countries, instructs at many post secondary educational
institutions and at national conferences. "Igniting Resilience" and "Living and Working with
Passsion…No Matter What" are the titles of Charmaine's most recent E-books. She has also coauthored
an E-book series on team building. Charmaine was nominated for the RBC Women
Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2008.
